MCSE: Private Cloud certification exam is globally recognized standardized test that has been designed for the IT professionals. This test validates the level of skills of the IT professionals to plan, design, organize & sustain the private cloud technology in the enterprise environment.

To achieve the MCSE: Private Cloud certification the candidates need to take effective preparations for five individual exams. The exams are: Exam no. 70-410. Installing & Configuring Windows Server 2012; Exam no. 70-411. Administering Windows Server 2012; Exam no: 70-412. Exam Title: Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services; Exam 70-246. Exam Title: Monitoring & Operating a Private Cloud; Exam 70-247. Exam Title: Configuring & Deploying a Private Cloud.

MCSE Private Cloud validates a range of skills under the under the content areas of each individual exam.

  1. Skills validated by Exam no. 70-410. Installing & Configuring Windows Server 2012

    Exam 70-410, measures the skills of the candidates about the issues that are essential to execute the core applications of Windows Server 2012 in the existing infrastructure environment of an enterprise. Successful completion of this test validates the ability of the test taker in implementation & configuration of the core services of the Windows Server 2012, including, active Directory, networking services, etc.  

    Under the content area ‘Install & configure servers’ the candidates learn several skills, such as, how to install the servers, how to configure the servers, how to configure the local storage, servers for remote management, etc. Under the content area ‘Configure server roles & features’ the candidates learn several skills, such as, how to configure file & share access, print & document services, etc. Under the content area ‘Configure Hyper-V’ the candidates learn several skills, such as, how to create & configure virtual machine settings, virtual machine storage, IPv4 & IPv6 addressing, virtual networks, DHCP service, etc. Under the content area ‘Deploy & configure the core network services’ the candidates learn several skills, such as, how to configure the DHCP service; under the content area ‘Install & administer the Active Directory’ the candidates learn several skills, such as, how to activate the directory groups & OUs; under the content area ‘Create & manage the Group Policy’ the candidates learn several skills, such as, how to generate group policies.

  2. Skills validated by Exam no. 70-411. Administering Windows Server 2012

    Exam 70-411 measures the skills of the candidates about the issues that are essential to execute the core applications of Windows Server 2012 in the existing infrastructure environment of an enterprise. Successful completion of this test validates the ability of the test taker in implementation & configuration of the core services of the Windows Server 2012, including, user & group management, data security, network access, etc.

    While taking preparation for this exam, the candidates learn several skills, such as, how to deploy & manage server images; how to implement patch management; advanced audit policies; how to monitor servers; how to configure FSRM, file & disk encryption; how to configure DNS zones, VPN & routing; DNS records; DirectAccess; etc.

  3. Skills validated by Exam no: 70-412. Exam Title: Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services

    Exam 70-412 measures the skills of the candidates about the issues that are essential to execute the core applications of Windows Server 2012 in the existing infrastructure environment of an enterprise. Successful completion of this test validates the ability of the test taker in implementation & configuration of the core services of the Windows Server 2012, including, fault tolerance, identity federation, certificate services, etc.

    While taking preparation for this exam, the candidates learn several skills, such as, how to configure the NLB; how to overcome the failover clustering; how to manage the unsuccessful clustering roles; how to manage VM movement; how to configure advanced file services; how to Implement DAC; how to configure & optimize storage; how to configure Windows Server backups; how to configure Microsoft Azure backups; how to configure role-specific backups; how to manage VSS settings using VSSAdmin, etc.

  4. Exam 70-246. Exam Title: Monitoring & Operating a Private Cloud

    Exam 70-246 measures the knowledge & proficiencies of the candidates about the Windows Server, System Center 2012, security, high-availability, fault tolerance, & networking experience in an enterprise environment. Candidates should also have basic Microsoft SQL Server, Windows PowerShell knowledge, & application configuration experience.

    While taking preparation for this exam, the candidates learn several skills, such as, how to implement workflows; how to implement service offerings; how to deploy end-to-end monitoring; how to configure the end-to-end monitoring, how to create monitoring reports & dashboards; how to monitor network devices, servers, virtualization layer; how to analyze network device health; how to manage Operations Manager alerts, notifications; how to monitor application health; how to implement service level management; how to manage problems & incidents; how to manage cloud resources; how to manage compliance & configuration & updates; how to implement backup & recovery, etc.

  5. Exam 70-247. Exam Title: Configuring & Deploying a Private Cloud

    Exam 70-247 measures the skills of the candidates about Windows Server, System Center 2012, security, high-availability, fault tolerance, & networking experience in an enterprise environment. Candidates should also have basic Microsoft SQL Server, Windows PowerShell knowledge, & application configuration experience.

    While taking preparation for this exam, the candidates learn several skills, such as,  how to design the System Center architecture in a scalable system; how to install the System Center Infrastructure; how to upgrade System Center components; how to configure System Center components; how to configure portals & dashboards; how to configure the storage fabric, & network fabric; how to configure & manage the deployment & update servers; how to configure clouds & virtualization hosts, how to configure private cloud integration; how to configure the integration of private & public clouds;  how to configure profiles; how to create & configure server App-V packages; how to configure & deploy a service; how to update a service, etc.
