• The Dell DCS-IE, PowerScale (Version 3.0) accreditation is the intermediate designation in the Dell certification program. It also refers to the storage certification track. This designation is intended for students who are skilled in installing, applying, operating, and administering a PowerScale scale-out storage solution in a live datacenter environment. The way to this specialist accreditation implies earning either an associate-level designation in the information storage & management domain (Version 2.0,3.0, or 4.0) or a specialist-level certificate intended for an implementation engineer or a systems admin engaged on dealing with Isilon solutions (Version 2.0). The next step for you to make is to pass the DES-1423 exam, also known as the Specialist-Implementation Engineer, PowerScale evaluation.

  The main focus of the DES-1423 exam is on applying the Power Scale scale-out storage solutions. For that, you should have skills in installing and implementing the PowerScale cluster and using PowerScale software modules. You also should have a solid knowledge of such products as OneFS v8.2, InsightlQ 3.0, PowerScale Generation 6.5 Nodes, and Isilon Generation 6 Nodes. Passing the DES-1423 evaluation means for you to complete 60 questions within an hour and a half and to score 63% of the correct answers. In addition, it means your proficiency in the exam topics. The test comprises 8 of them, so be thoroughly prepared to crack them all.

  The first topic deals with NAS, PowerScale, and OneFS.
